Budapest, Hungary

Last week, I had the good fortune to meet up with the most amazing people on earth: my colleagues at Automattic. We spent the week in Budapest meeting each other, working on some neat new features, and fitting in a few sight-seeing adventures, as well.

It was a really energizing meet up. It’s been a while since I traveled abroad and, of course, this was certainly an amazing reason to do so. Such a funny, intelligent, sweet, and welcoming bunch! Every day, I feel more and more lucky to be a part of this inspirational team.

It’s also got me thinking about where I am in my life and where I want to be. Travel always gives an excellent perspective on the “big picture.” Especially since, just a few months ago, I never imagined that anything like this would happen. From April to now, my life has changed drastically, and all for the better 🙂

Of course, I have my usual post-voyage malaise, a.k.a. I’m feeling the itch to take another leap and try moving to Europe (again). Having the ability to work from anywhere, it would be such a waste for me to not take full advantage of this rare opportunity. Of course, we’ll see over time — but the inkling is there and I like it!
