Last month, the WordPress.com support team had a meet-up down in Tybee Island, GA to discuss how we can provide better support to WordPress.com users and for the chance to get to work together in person.
We stayed in a beautiful house close to the beach, which was great for riding bikes along the water. We also took a few trips into Savannah, one of which to test some delicious coffee for Jane’s Jitterbug Bakery at Perc Coffee. We also took a trip to some of the Telfair Museums, including the Jepson Center, which was showing an interesting collection of modern work that touched a lot on gaming and video game culture. Nice day for a bike ride on the beach!
I got to hang out with my closest friend this weekend. He lives in South Jersey and I’m in North Jersey, so we agreed to meet in the middle in Asbury Park. The highlight: he’s a genius for taking me to the Silver Ball Museum. I’d never heard of it before, which is unfortunate because it’s awesome! You pay by the hour and can play all kinds of vintage pinball games. They also have some vintage video games mixed in there as well.
Last week, I had the good fortune to meet up with the most amazing people on earth: my colleagues at Automattic. We spent the week in Budapest meeting each other, working on some neat new features, and fitting in a few sight-seeing adventures, as well. Continue reading Budapest, Hungary
