There’s a whole online component to the Tribeca Film Festival, which includes full-length feature movies that you can stream (for free) at home. You can check out the films included in the online festival here.
Courtesy of the Uptown Collective, I took a look at Babygirl today. It’s a full-length film about a young girl growing up in the Bronx, dealing with her mother’s fickle dating life and creep of a boyfriend. In the end, the film is about growing up, falling in love, and the struggles that many young girls face around sexuality and objectification. The actress who plays Lena, the main character, does a beautiful job of showcasing a young woman who’s strong and aware of herself, despite getting caught up in some difficult situations that are beyond her years.
