This week I was a little more lenient about taking pictures with my phone. All but one of my pictures this year have been taken on my DSLR and I’ve been purposefully avoiding using my phone since I wanted to use this project to play around more with composition and settings.
But composition isn’t just about a fancy camera, although it helps with picture quality. While there were a few times this week I went outside and forgot to bring my camera with me, I decided to just focus on the subject of the image itself and take the picture, regardless of the tool.
I’m not sure I’ll continue doing that, since I think I’ll get lazy really quickly. Nevertheless, it’s good to shift my gaze a little bit from time to time.
