Happy International Translation Day!

September 30th is International Translation Day, a day to celebrate the importance of language professionals and translators. For the past six years, the WordPress community has also organized events surrounding this day, for WordPress Translation Day.

I’m really excited to have been part of the organizing team this year. Since everything was happening virtually, the event was extended over the course of one month. That means there have been events ongoing since the beginning of September!

Today is the finale event, where we get to see some of the stats that have come out of WPTD. Numbers can’t capture the whole picture – like the actual people who’ve contributed translations – but it is a nice way to see the impact of all this hard work.

I’m looking forward to the finale, and celebrating with others!

In the meantime, here are a couple of events I was lucky enough to emcee.
